Drew is an English speaking Canadian with extensive international experience, having attended university (studying chemistry and mathematics) in the United States in the 1990’s and worked for seven years in the United Kingdom, and more recently for two years in Hong Kong. He has just relocated to Hanoi to join his Vietnamese wife.
He received his English Teaching Certificate in 2009 and enjoys introducing people to a new language, and helping them improve and perfect it in an enjoyable environment. Identifying the needs of the students and matching their lessons to their level of pre-existing knowledge to grow their vocabulary and abilities in a way that is attention keeping and enjoyable for the student is a rewarding attainment to him.
Past work includes being a Technical Writer and Researcher for a multimedia CD ROM while in the UK, administrator in charge of a developing a micro-sat class satellite which was launched by NASA into Earth orbit while he was in university, and a Personal Assistant at a renowned British architecture practice.
Drew enjoys travelling, having visited 37 countries, as well as history, following current events, eating and cooking. In addition to his native English, he speaks intermediate level French, and beginner’s Spanish and Russian.
